Her efforts ensure LINKLAB’s work and values resonate with the clients, communities, and collaborators it engages audiences. She balances structure with intuition, drawing on a love for travel and the arts to keep ideas fresh and culturally connected. Her approach fuels an ongoing dialogue about design, purpose, and possibility, reflecting the substance and spirit of LINKLAB.

As co-founder and principal of LINK lab, Sooyoun Park approaches design with a perceptive, intuitive eye, assessing possibilities through visual and environmental cues to craft spaces that feel authentic and resonant. She sees architecture as a form of artistic expression—a means of engaging with the unique phenomena of each place while shaping memorable human experiences through physical form. Guided by a keen awareness of how elements interact, her strong creative sensibilities inform work that is both thoughtful and deeply attuned to its surroundings.

Sooyoun brings over 25 years of experience spanning Asia and North America. She has held leadership roles at globally recognized firms including NBBJ (Shanghai), Skidmore Owings & Merrill (San Francisco), and WATG (Honolulu). Her work is driven by a multidisciplinary sensibility that balances artistry, pragmatism, and innovation—translating complex visions into spaces that are both inspired and enduring.

Committed to the intersection of design, education, and cultural stewardship, Sooyoun holds a BFA in Ceramics from Seoul National University and a Master of Interior Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design. She has served on the Executive Board and chaired the Education Leadership Committee for the Arizona State University Art Museum’s Creative Impact Board, while also contributing to academic leadership as a lecturer and doctoral advisor at the University of Hawaii School of Architecture.
